Alesana Onosai is a Practice Nurse at South Seas Healthcare with extensive experience in nursing, having worked in Samoa, Australia and New Zealand. Previous nursing roles have given him a broad range of experience over more than 30 years, including public and private hospitals, rest homes, GP practice and aged care facilities. He graduated from the Samoa Nursing School in 1985 and worked at the Samoan National Hospital for a decade before coming to New Zealand to gain his registration. Alesana has been at South Seas since 2013 and undertakes a range of practice nursing tasks including immunisations, dressings and wound management, assisting our Doctors with minor surgery procedures, coordinating medications, running asthma and CVD clinics and emergency nursing. He speaks both Samoan and English and acts as an interpreter for our Samoan speaking patients when needed.
