Faka‘osi Junior Hausia

Junior is a Public Health Promotor for our Ola Monū‘ia Gambling Harm Minimisation Services. His role involves raising awareness and educating people in the community of the harms of problem gambling, as well as how to receive help and support for those that may be suffering from harmful gambling or the harmful gambling of those close to them. His aim is to help people that are adversely affected by gambling addiction to become more aware of the harms that can affect them and their loved ones, as well as encourage them to seek help and access support services.

Junior has a passion for serving our people within the community and only wants people of all backgrounds to receive the best help we have to offer for the betterment of all people of our community. Being NZ born, he stands to remember and honour the sacrifices his parents and wider family made to make the journey from Tonga to Aotearoa, in the hope of providing a better future for the generations to come.
