Ana Kivalu

Project Lead

Ana is an Ōtara-raised, New Zealand-born Tongan who joined the South Seas Healthcare team in 2021. She currently leads youth development projects, partnership initiatives, and special projects at South Seas Healthcare, overseeing programmes including Bubblegum Mentoring, MYSTORY, Talanoa Ako Parents & Learners, Bubblegum School Holiday Programmes, the suicide prevention initiative Aka Moe Fe’unu, and Pacific Roots & Recipes.

Ana is passionate about creating safe, empowering, and culturally grounded spaces for young people, families, and the wider whānau to build confidence, strengthen health and wellbeing, develop practical life skills, and equip themselves with the tools needed to achieve their goals. Alongside leading youth development and community wellbeing initiatives, Ana works closely with community partners, stakeholders, schools, and organisations to strengthen collaboration and create meaningful opportunities and positive outcomes for Pacific and Māori communities across South Auckland.
